Since its earliest days, Toronto’s east end has drawn diverse artists to gather in the spirit of fellowship for the sole purpose of creating art.
East End Makers follows in that tradition.
We are a group of seven east end artists who initially came together in a virtual “Covid Coffee Break” to overcome the isolation and uncertainty of a pandemic lock down.
The strongest steel is forged in fire, and what began as an effort to sustain a simple human connection with others quickly evolved into an inspiring and supportive art collective.
Each “maker” brings her diverse interests, life experiences, and skills to the table where we are all united in the spirit of friendship, sharing, experimentation, lifelong learning, and above all, a love for all things art!
