This set of 6 mini “mise en place” prep dishes helps a chef prepare and organize fresh herbs and other seasonings in the cooking process. Each dish is handbuilt in stoneware clay, therefore variation is to be expected from piece to piece. A gingko leave is gently pressed into each dish to imprint the surface. After the dish is bisque fired each leaf is hand painted using underglaze and water to achieve a subtle watercolour effect. The dish is then covered in clear glaze and kiln fired again. The result is a smooth glossy surface that brings out the vibrancy of the painted leaves. The dishes are food safe, microwaveable and dishwasher safe.
